The Prosciuttificio Picaron Company was founded in 1990 with a precise objective: to produce high quality raw ham.
Over the years, Mr. Bassi has dedicated his time and attention to choosing the right people, places and facilities to enable him to achieve his goal.
The Picaron Group is currently operating with two ham factories in the typical area of San Daniele del Friuli and with a further two factories in the typical area of Parma.
On a national level, the "Picaron Ham Factory S.n.c. is part of the small group of companies authorised to export San Daniele matured raw ham to markets in the USA, Japan, Australia and China.
The Company had to pass strict inspections by the Health authorities and use the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points system (HACCP) for food safety, in order to obtain this authorisation.
Over the last few years our quality parameters have proved to be amongst the best ever in the San Daniele and Parma areas of DOP ham production.
